Choosing your heating

How to determine the heat flow

1. Determine the volume of the room (V)

m3

(V) VOLUME in M3 = Height x Length x Width (in meters)

2. Determine the difference between the desired temperature and the minimum outdoor temperature (T) in ° Celsius

°C

E.g.: Desired temperature 15°C, minimum outdoor temperature -10°C, (T) Temperature difference = 25°C

3. What is the insulation quality of the building? (K)

You must take into consideration the insulation quality of the building, (K) corresponding to a coefficient that you estimate using the information below:

K = 1.2
very well insulated building (walls + insulated roof)

K = 2.4
medium insulated building (insulated roof)

K = 3.5
poorly insulated building uninsulated walls + roof)

K = 4
non-insulated building (walls + corrugated roof)
